This optimized and patented Karnasch Black-Tec coating simplifies the processing and handling of non-ferrous metals and plastics. Specially developed for dry work, it also increases process reliability under the most difficult working conditions. With Karnasch Black-Tec coated tools, you achieve excellent friction and sliding qualities and reduce the formation of build up edges.

The silicon doping gives HXC-Nano³ a particularly high hardness and oxidation resistance. Sputtering produces a very smooth surface and HiPIMS improves layer adhesion. Titanium, stainless steel or hard steels, HXC-Nano³ is ideal for machining at high temperatures.

Due to the low coefficient of friction and the advantageous running-in properties of the WC/C layer, the flutes appear polished after just a few turns. This results in consistent chip formation and smooth chip removal. The TiAlN hard material layer underneath protects the tool from wear even at high operating temperatures.
